Commodore Stanis Metzov died on a quiet, warm August day. It was a Saturday. Weekends in August were always quiet at the Academy: the usual crowd of students had graduated months ago, and the few stragglers picking up missed credits in a final semester on campus had finished their finals and moved on just a week before. The professors had departed soon in their wake, likewise in two waves, leaving the cement walks and grassy clearing empty of their bustle. There were no students of either gender fleeing strangers' dorms after a Friday night's indiscretions, no jitteringly caffeinated procrastinators rushing to finish or turn in a paper due tw
Name: Senator Erisa Dal
Nickname/Alias: The Bes'kar Bitch, so nicknamed by her political opponents due to her unyielding nature.
Race/Species: Human
Place of Birth: The Gold Beaches of Corellia
Current Age: 39
Gender: Female
Height: 2 meters
Weight: 65 kilos
Appearance: A tall, raven haired woman, she bears herself with confidence and strength. Her grey eyes, hard as durasteel, redouble the impression of unyielding force. She has high cheekbones and an angular face: her beauty, if it can be called that, comes from the intensity of her being, not her looks. Her body seems to be ever-tense with unlimited energy, hard muscles coiled und
Name: Grav effugium 'Floaty"
Appearance: It looks like the floating contents of a fish bowl, a sphere of water full of what appear to be colorful orbs that slowly drift in seemingly random patterns. In the center is a luminescent blue globe reminiscent of the wax in a lava lamp: the colorful spheres that move around it pass through this globe periodically. The sphere of water moves on its own, wobbling as it drifts through atmosphere at speeds up to thirty miles per hour, albeit with a very slow rate of acceleration.
Biology: The Grav effugium is, in fact, a combination of all three parts: glowing globe, surrounding orbs, and the sphere.
Name: Felis Supremus (Superior Cat)
Appearance: About the size and appearance of an ocelot, the Superior cat has short, silvery fur and deep, warm brown eyes. Its tail is long and flexible, and has either gold or brown eyes.
Biology: The Superior Cat is incredibly good at surviving against the many predators of their planet: its short fur catalyzes the surface of oozes, turning it hard and impermeable, letting it walk right across pit oozes and doge hunter oozes with ease: likewise, the unique patterning of the fur deflects the vampiric hooks of the Shivers. A natural immunity to toxins and incredibly sharp eyesight add to these abilities
Flora
Name: Filament Tree
Appearance: A large-boughed tree with a thick central trunk and branches that split off from about half its height in a mushroom-cap-like shape. The branches at the point of split go perfectly horizontally out, creating an almost umbrella-like look. The air near the tree seems to shimmer slighty.
Biology: From every branch hang a few hundred long, nearly invisible monofilament fibers, reaching and growing into the ground. Anyone stepping through these fibers is neatly sliced to pieces: their decomposing bodies help feed and nourish the tree. These trees are generally solitary, since the center of any grove would b

Name: irrelevant
Appearance: A series of slime-like beings, they are all relatively amorphous and vary in color.
Biology: They are usually a hypermobile gel inside a membrane similar to the one of the flitters: they feed through absorbing things through it through a variety of methods.
Tree Oozes: About a square foot in diameter, these flat slimes feed on trees, slowly chewing through bark with an acid they secrete and then feeding on the pulp. They start at the top of the trunk and work down: a small colony of tree oozes can consume an entire tree in a matter of days. They are a variety of bright colors, depending on what tree they're fee
Name: Irrelevant
Appearance: The genus of creatures appears to look like soap-bubble-like spheres of varying sizes that drift through the air.
Biology: They keep themselves aloft through electrolysis of fluids, turning the hydrogen into their internal gas: they use a combination of air currents and expidenture of this gas for locomotion, and are therefore most often found flitting above sources of water: they usually feed on either plant fluids or insects through a process similar to cells absorbing utrients through the cell wall.
Subspecies:
Flitters: The most common, these are about an inch in diameter, and most closely resemble bubbles
Harvest
The song of life is ending, the music falling flat,
The shadows gather swiftly upon our welcome mat.
The knock, the call is sounding, an echo on the door,
The dark has come to take us, off to the other shore.
The paints and hue are grey now, the brightest shades gone dim,
The umber creeps unbounded, as cheerfulness goes grim.
The shining llights of progress have long since sputtered out,
The strongest of convictions has twisted into doubt.
The wood has shrunk and withered, the latch rusted away,
The footsteps cross the threshold, and shred the last of day,
The blade of reaping flickers, with final ghostly light,
And then
Keldarians
Planet of origin: Keldar VI, the sixth planet from the Keldar, a yellow dwarf. Keldar VI is slightly smaller than earth, with only 400 million square kilometers of surface area. It is a temperate planet with a primarily oxygenated atmosphere and a low level of nitrogen. Its surface is nearly 85% ocean, and is sparsely vegetated: primarily grasslands. It has few non-aquatic fauna.
Biology: The Keldarians are a humanoid amphibious species able to process oxygen both from atmosphere and water through a membrane at the top of their trachea-equivalent. Their skin is a very sleek and smooth slightly marbled blue that shimmers in the lig
